Batufull is a character that my dad created in the 90s. He loved adding a little something to my scribbles and often he added this chubby and fluffy character that he called Batufull. They just appeared out of nowhere. (He added them as soon as he had the chance).

We frequently played a game I enjoyed very much: we had to create Batufull's family and we started imagining their background and several stories that involved them.
In the last few days, between an artistic block and the idea of approaching tattoo design, I tried to draw one all over again, and thought that this could be a great way to give Batufull a new life. So I created a little tribe, also to homage the wonderful relationship I had with my father.

Batufull è un personaggio che creò mio padre negli anni 90. Lui amava mettere un suo piccolo contributo ai miei scarabocchi. Molto spesso aggiungeva questi omini paffuti e soffici che chiamò Batufull. Questo personaggio non faceva altro che spuntare nei miei disegni da un momento all'altro. (Lo aggiungeva a caso appena ne aveva occasione.)
Spesso giocavamo a creare una famiglia Batufull e fantasticavamo sulle storie dei vari personaggi.

In questi giorni, tra un blocco artistico e la voglia di approcciarmi al design di tatuaggi, ho provato a ridisegnarne uno. Ho pensato dunque che potesse essere una bella cosa ridare vita a questo personaggio creando una piccola tribù (in omaggio anche a quello che è stato il bellissimo rapporto con mio padre).
